Session Description:

After September 11, 2001 the United States' immigration system shifted from one of diplomacy and economic exchange to one of national security. In this session, we'll explore modern approaches to immigration enforcement and how local law enforcement agencies in Southwest Ohio are allocating local resources in enforcing federal civil immigration law. We'll work to understand how the immigration system works, what the process of detention and deportation looks like, and how it's affecting our local communities..
